The empty cross symbolizes the resurrected Son of God. The **descending dove** (Holy Spirit) and the **lotus flower** (God the Father) form a beautiful depiction of the Holy Trinity.

St. Mary’s Church, Manalumkal, is a Syro-Malabar Catholic parish in Akalakunnam, Kottayam, Kerala. Established on February 15, 1987, under the Eparchy of Palai, it was rebuilt and blessed on December 26, 2010 by His Excellency Mar Joseph Kallarangattu.
